Description:
This status is reported by the HIPERFACEŽ encoder. More information can be found in the data sheet or HIPERFACEŽ encoder specification.
Excerpt from the HIPERFACEŽ specification:
The "Multiturn sync fault" is used for rotary encoders and indicates that the HIPERFACEŽ slave detected invalid multiturn sensor synchronization.
An error indication will be output. The typical reason for this fault is end of multiturn gear service life.
NOTE: Some legacy HIPERFACEŽ slaves transmit this condition with the warning bit.
NOTE: Multiturn sync diagnostics cannot reliably detect gear synchronization faults over an extended time.
After first indication of this fault, gear synchronization can wear out even more and result in undetected false position output.
Reaction:
None
Cause/Remedy:
See encoder data sheet or HIPERFACEŽ specification.
