Excerpt from the HIPERFACE DSLŪ specification for encoder status 0 (ENC_ST0, Adresse 40h) bit 1:
Two subsequent fast position values were too far apart for valid DSL transmission; too high shaft acceleration or shaft was turned while the link was not active.
