This document describes the Tie-Bar Retraction Device<\/strong> for an Injection Moulding Machine<\/strong>. The function is intended exclusively for tool (mould) change operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Activation is permitted only by Woojin service technicians<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The machine must be logged in as Service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The feature is enabled in the Fix Page<\/strong>:\n
      \n
    • Path: General \u2192 Optional \u2192 3. Clamp<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Parameter: Use Tie-Bar Retraction Device<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Set the value to 1<\/strong> (see screenshot below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Once this feature is activated in the Fix Page, the Tie-Bar Retraction page becomes visible. If the feature is not enabled, the page remains hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Accessing the Tie-Bar Retraction Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Navigate via the Clamp<\/strong> area in the toolbar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Select the tab HALF NUT TIE-BAR<\/strong> (see screenshot below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Manual Movements Mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Enabling Manual Movements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Switch the machine to Settings Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Enable the checkbox Tie-Bar Retraction Device Manual Movements<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • When this mode is activated, two alarms<\/strong> are generated (see screenshots Below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Tie-Bar Retraction Procedure (Manual Mode)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          This mode is used to retract the tie-bar for mould change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Unlock the Tie-Bar Locking Device<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • Press the UNLOCK<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • While the unlocking process is active, the Open Lock<\/strong> status indicator lights orange<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • When the process is completed successfully, the Lock Open<\/strong> status indicator lights green<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • The wedge locking mechanism is now released.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            2. Conditions for Tie-Bar Movement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            Before moving the tie-bar, the following conditions must be fulfilled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            • \uadf8\ub9cc\ud07c carriage must be in the backward position<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Mold Status:<\/strong> Must be Fully Open<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • \uadf8\ub9cc\ud07c locking device must be in the open position<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              If the carriage is not in the backward position, an alarm is triggered (see screenshot).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              If the mold is not fully open, an alarm is triggered (see screenshot).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Note:<\/strong> While the checkbox Tie-Bar Retraction Device Manual Movements<\/em> is enabled, carriage movement is disabled<\/strong>. To move the carriage, the checkbox must be unchecked first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              3. Retracting the Tie-Bar (Forward)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                \n
              • Press the Forward<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • While the tie-bar is moving, the status Tie-Bar Retraction Forward<\/strong> lights orange<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • When the tie-bar reaches the end position, the Limit Switch Front Position<\/strong> indicator lights green<\/strong> (see screenshots).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                Returning the Tie-Bar to Operating Position<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                4. Moving the Tie-Bar Backward<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                  \n
                • Remain in Manual Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Press the Backward<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • While the tie-bar is moving back, the status Tie-Bar Retraction Backward<\/strong> lights orange<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • When the end position is reached, the Limit Switch Back Position<\/strong> indicator lights green<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  5. Locking the Tie-Bar Retraction Device<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                    \n
                  • Press the LOCK<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • During the locking process, the Close Lock<\/strong> status indicator lights orange<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Once the process is completed successfully, the Lock Locked<\/strong> status indicator lights green<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                    After the locking process is finished, the machine is returned to a ready-for-operation<\/strong> state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    Automatic Tie-Bar Pressure Charging<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                    To ensure safe production, this function must be enabled via the checkbox<\/strong>. It is integrated into the Smart Sequencer<\/strong> to secure the tie-bar lock before every mold movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      \n
                    • Requirement:<\/strong> The checkbox must be Active<\/strong> to enable the automatic pressure check during the cycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Process:<\/strong> Before the mold moves, the system automatically charges the lock for 5 seconds<\/strong> to ensure full clamping force.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • Safety Interlock:<\/strong> Movement starts only after the Pressure Switch<\/strong> is TRUE<\/strong>. If the pressure is not confirmed within 5 seconds<\/strong>, the cycle stops (Timeout).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                      Note:<\/strong> Manual Movement:<\/em> Even in Manual Mode, the tie-bar lock must be pressurized before moving the mold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
