Linux Image Installation

Requirements

• Software:
  • DiskGenius Free Portable
  • HDD Raw Copy Tool
  • Linux image file (Download on Release Overview Page)
• Hardware:
  • CompactFlash (CFast) Card
  • CFast Card Reader

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Format CFast Card

1. Download DiskGenius Free Portable and extract the ZIP file.
2. Insert CF card into your PC via card reader.
3. Run DiskGenius.exe inside the extracted folder.
4. Identify and select your CFast card.

5. Click on the partition and after that click “Delete” on the top. (and confirm)
6. Repeat this process untill all partitions are selected. (Only unallocated space)

7. Press “Save All” and confirm

8. Now the card is ready for installation

Step 2: Write Linux Image

1. Download and install HDD Raw Copy Tool.
2. Launch HDD Raw Copy Tool.

3. Click “FILE” as source and select your Linux image file (.imgc file).
4. Click “Continue”.

5. Choose your CF card as the destination.

6. Click “Start” and wait untill the process is finished
7. Once the installtion is finished, you can put the card back in the PPC
